Our Story
The story of Woodcraft Unlimited definitely has to begin with my father,
Doug Trice, who first started this company. At the age of 14, while taking a shop class in school, he built his first kitchen for his parents. Doug never thought it would turn into his passion but after an injury while playing professional baseball it led him back to Atlanta where he started Woodcraft Unlimited in 1969. He had several large projects like the Hartsfield airport, TBS and CNN news sets along with countless custom kitchens and baths in the Atlanta area. In 1984, Doug moved his family and business to Loganville for a more laid back atmosphere. With the shop being next to the house, I had spent hours watching Dad build. As soon as I could, I started working in the cabinet shop and shared the same love for woodworking as my father. Commercial cabinetry had been our primary focus but I had found a niche and steered me more towards the residential side of the business. I love turning a customers not so ideal space into their favorite part of the home. Happy customers referred their friends and family and soon I was able to go full-time and support my wife and three kids. I am able to employ an amazing group of craftsmen that share my same vision and work ethic. With their help we are able to meet with clients, design, build, finish and install. Call me, I would love to meet with you and make your ideas a reality. Whether you know exactly what you want or even if you don't, let my experience help and together we can design exactly what you need.
